Cup Day.

It was a very nice night here last night, full moon, a fresh breeze that made the water turbulent, clear and bright and the moonlight seemed to reflect off the ocean right into where we were, like a show.
God is the best artist ever.

Today in Australia is a horserace called the Melbourne Cup. Horses, jockeys and trainers come from all over the world to participate.

People really groom themselves for it, the fashion side of things is just as big as the horse race itself.
When I used to half own Base Hair we would work from 8am until 1pm, close and plan something nice for the staff, like a boat cruise with all the food and drinks or one of Australia’s best restaurant’s surrounding the same thing, getting your style on, degustation and “the race that stop’s the nation”.
We used to lay it on for our staff and we would ask in return loyalty, standing firm and doing what we considered to be beautiful.

Our Melbourne Cup party’s were legendary if you were involved. (well i think)

My business partner and I had worked in salons before where we were worked like robots and we wanted to re write how things were done in our industry.

I would like to think that if my employer didn’t reward me like this I would be envious and it would make me question my motive to give my efforts. (i ain't no robot. but that's me)

Too hard to swallow for some?
